Stanton House is recruiting for an Interim Senior Accountant (Revenue) to join a SaaS Business on a 3 Month Contract (possible extension). This day rate contract offers £400 per day (IR35 to be determined). This role is mainly remote but requires two days per month in their offices in East England.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month, quarter, and year-end close processes for revenue and accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15.
  • Act as the expert on revenue recognition for internal projects.
  • Work with the commercial finance team to review contracts and determine correct revenue treatment.
  • Coordinate with contract teams to standardise document flow and integrate contracts into SAP.
  • Handle accounting aspects of contracts, including accruals, deferrals, and revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to ensure data integrity in reporting and billing systems and calculate intercompany recharges.
  • Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures and share technical knowledge.
  • Assist in drafting and updating revenue accounting policy papers.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance billing, revenue, and receivables controls.
  • Work with the assistant accountant to ensure accurate billing, cash receipt allocation, and maximise cash collections.
  • Review and update expected credit loss provision annually.
  • Support external auditors and internal teams during audits, especially for revenue, AR and ECL queries.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred) with two years PQE.
  • Expertise in revenue reporting under IFRS 15 for a SaaS business.
  • Technical revenue knowledge for a global, multicurrency software company.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in handling audit queries.
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPS).
  • Familiarity with systems like SAP ByD, Tableau, and Salesforce (preferred).
