A high-growth, Private Equity‑backed professional/legal services firm is seeking a Financial Controller to play a key role in its continued expansion.
Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands‑on leadership position offering exposure to M&A, senior stakeholders and the opportunity to build a scalable, best‑in‑class finance function in a fast‑paced, acquisitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial control, reporting, audit and group consolidation
- Manage cash flow, forecasting and working capital performance (including WIP and billing)
- Deliver budgets, forecasts and performance insights to Board and leadership
- Drive systems, data and process improvements across finance
- Support M&A activity, including due diligence and integration of acquisitions
- Lead and develop the finance team while managing key external stakeholders
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong financial control and reporting experience in a growing business
- Background in professional or business services (legal advantageous)
- Experience with working capital, WIP and revenue recognition
- Exposure to private equity or M&A environments beneficial
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder skills
- Hands‑on, commercially minded and comfortable in a fast‑paced setting
