We're supporting a well-established technology-focused organisation as they embark on a significant business and technology transformation journey. As part of a growing change function, we are seeking an experienced Technology Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives that will shape the organisation's future operating model, technology landscape and delivery capability.
This is a high-profile role requiring someone who can confidently operate across executive, business and technology stakeholders whilst bringing structure, insight and delivery rigour to complex programmes. The successful candidate will oversee multiple interconnected initiatives, ensuring risks are managed proactively, governance remains effective and delivery outcomes stay aligned to strategic objectives.
Reporting into senior transformation leadership, you will lead the planning and delivery of large-scale technology and change programmes, working closely with stakeholders across business, technology and operational functions. This role requires somebody who combines excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with strong programme delivery expertise and sufficient technical understanding to challenge assumptions, identify delivery risks and navigate complex transformation environments.
- Provide programme leadership across multiple strategic technology and transformation initiatives.
- Monitor programme health, delivery progress, risks, issues and budget performance.
- Drive stakeholder alignment and facilitate effective decision-making across business and technology teams.
- Champion programme management best practice and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience delivering complex technology and business transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of software delivery, technology change and organisational transformation.
- Experience operating across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong governance, risk, dependency and stakeholder management capability.
- Experience using programme and portfolio management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro and MS Project.
- Strong consulting-style stakeholder management and executive presence.
- The ability to quickly build credibility across business and technology teams.
- Sufficient technical understanding to challenge assumptions and identify delivery risks without being hands-on.
