Role Summary: This is a high-profile role within the Group Finance function, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. The position sits at the centre of an evolving finance function, supporting the move towards a more centralised and streamlined operating model across a complex international group. The role combines core financial accounting responsibilities with exposure to group consolidation and major finance transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Own month-end accounting activities, including preparation of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support group consolidation and statutory reporting across a complex, multi-entity structure.
- Manage intercompany accounting, ensuring accurate balances, funding flows, and reconciliations.
- Take ownership of head office accounting across multiple entities.
- Support systems change.
- Work closely with the Group Consolidation team to improve reporting quality and timelines.
- Help simplify and standardise processes across a decentralised finance function.
- Support stronger controls, governance, and visibility across accounting and compliance.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system implementations.
- Collaborate with tax, treasury, FP&A, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Experience in a large, complex, multi-entity organisation.
- Strong month-end and financial accounting experience.
- Exposure to group consolidation and statutory reporting.
- Experience with intercompany accounting.
- Ability to improve and simplify processes in a changing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems or finance transformation is desirable.
