This role offers the opportunity to shape the finance function, improve reporting and controls, support strategic decision-making, and work closely with senior leadership, funding partners, and investors.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the finance function, encompassing FP&A, financial control, finance operations, funding oversight, and treasury-related activities.
Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will provide financial leadership across the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, effective planning processes, and robust support for strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
Deliver timely and insightful financial and operational performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment cases, and business decisions.
Provide commercial challenge and insight to improve performance, profitability, and cash generation.
Support strategic planning, growth initiatives, and capital allocation decisions.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of management accounts, statutory reporting, and financial statements.
Lead external audit processes and maintain strong relationships with auditors and advisers.
Maintain and enhance financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
Drive automation, process improvement, and reporting efficiencies across finance.
Oversee finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and transactional finance activities.
Ensure finance processes remain scalable and fit for purpose as the business grows.
Oversee liquidity planning, funding utilisation, covenant compliance, and capital management activities.
Support refinancing, funding optimisation, and facility expansion initiatives.
Develop and lead high-performing teams across FP&A, financial control, operations, and funding activities.
Requirements Essential Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven finance leadership experience within a growth-focused organisation.
Strong technical and commercial expertise across FP&A, financial control, and finance operations.
Experience presenting financial performance and strategic insight to Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
Strong track record of financial reporting, audit management, and control framework ownership.
Ability to translate financial information into clear business recommendations and actions.
Experience leading, developing, and retaining high-performing finance teams.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Desired Experience within financial services or another regulated environment.
Knowledge of treasury, liquidity management, and capital planning.
Experience supporting or leading finance transformation and automation initiatives.
Track record of scaling finance functions in high-growth businesses.
Experience working closely with data, analytics, technology, and operational teams to improve decision-making and business performance.
