Stanton House is currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to join a PE-backed Retail Business in Birmingham on a 4-month Fixed-Term Contract (with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate). The role offers a salary of £60,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience) and there may be additional benefits. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office. Responsibilities: Lead the Management Accountants to ensure timely and accurate internal and external reporting for the businesses, including management accounts, KPIs, and presentations of group and divisional results. Prepare consolidated Group management accounts, performance schedules, and variance analysis, providing insightful commentary for key stakeholders to support decision-making. Coordinate monthly management accounts and reports across all divisions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and adherence to strict deadlines. Support Finance Business Partners in preparing executive presentations, while driving improvements in management information and fostering strong business partnering. Maintain the Oracle General Ledger, overseeing the chart of accounts, hierarchies, and system updates, and manage stock and debt reporting processes. Provide training to non-financial managers on understanding management accounts and performance, while mentoring team members and promoting collaboration across functions.
