Stanton House is currently recruiting for an Interim Deputy Financial Controller to join a Large Services Business in London on a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract. This hybrid role is working 3 days per week in the office and offers a pro-rated salary of £90,000 per annum plus benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise several teams, including UK External Reporting, UK Finance Shared Services, etc.
• Promote and enhance the culture of control improvements.
• Serve as a reliable business partner to key stakeholders in various finance teams (Operations, Commercial, Central Functions) to ensure numerical accuracy.
• Prepare the UK section of the Group External Financial Statements, including disclosures in the Group Annual Report and Accounts.
• Handle the UK statutory and regulatory accounts process, including obtaining external audit approval.
• Manage the coordination and execution of the UK audit process according to the Group’s schedule, working with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit cycle.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and the ability to provide technical accounting advice.
• Experience with Defined Benefit Pension Schemes Accounting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Familiarity with SAP or a similar system.
