Base pay range

A Private Equity backed global software business is seeking a Director Corporate Development & Value Creation (Payments & Fintech) to lead the M&A strategy for their fastest-growing division.

As the Director Corporate Development, you will be an experienced leader, adept at Corporate Development, M&A and operational management. With a strong background in payments technology and fintech, you will bring deep industry knowledge that allows you to identify opportunities and drive strategic growth. The division is looking at making 12-18 acquisitions per year and needs someone who has a strong GTM / Business Development skillset.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strategic and solutions-oriented, you thrive in fast-paced environments and are ready to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Divisional MD and M&A team to design and execute the division’s M&A strategy.
  • Identify and lead acquisition opportunities from inception to completion.
  • Develop compelling investment cases and Value Creation Plans for each acquisition.
  • Oversee seamless post-acquisition integrations into the overall operating model.

Qualifications:

  • Significant leadership experience in M&A, including post-acquisition integration (operational, commercial, and financial aspects).
  • Proven expertise in payments technology and fintech, with a strong understanding of the industry landscape, trends, and opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software industry and relevant markets, backed by exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, investment case creation, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • GTM Strategy either in-house or consulting. (Must be Payments/Fintech Specific)
  • Proficiency in project management and leading cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.
