The Role: £500 - £600 p/d inside IR35, 12 month contract.
As Group Finance Manager, you will work at the heart of Finance, with visibility across the wider business and close interaction with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting finance team members across the UK and US, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Owning the month-end timetable, tracking progress and partnering with financial accountants to ensure deadlines are met.
- Producing the month-end reporting pack, working closely with finance business partners to explain P&L movements and provide clear commentary across the balance sheet, cashflow and exceptional items.
- Actively participating in month-end review calls.
- Managing technical balance sheet reconciliations (including capitalised development costs).
- Understanding, tracking and reporting working capital movements.
- Producing and maintaining robust operational cashflow reporting.
- Supporting the year-end external audit, including preparation of FRS 101 financial statements and audit schedules.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement.
Experience we’d love to see:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA or equivalent).
- Accounting experience within a commercial environment.
- Record-to-Report (RTR) or financial accounting background.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS essential; US GAAP exposure beneficial).
- A commercial mindset with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insight.
- Leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, mentoring and empowering others.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across teams.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar financial systems.
- Strong analytical capability (a background in mathematics or a similar discipline is a plus).
- Ability to build strong relationships both within and outside Finance.
- Resilience and comfort working to deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Confidence presenting information clearly and accessibly.
- Flexibility to collaborate with a global team, including occasional work outside standard UK hours.
