We’re supporting a PE-backed aerospace & defence manufacturing platform who have the ambition and a plan to deliver 20–30 acquisitions over the next five years. They are looking for a Head of Integration to stand up the Integration Management Office from zero and lead integration, programme delivery, and value creation across the group.

The opportunity:

  • Build the IMO & PMO from scratch — no legacy frameworks, no constraints
  • Board-level exposure from day one (reporting to CEO/MD & PE sponsor)
  • Own integration across every acquisition — strategy through to execution
  • Equity upside tied to value creation
  • A clear path toward Group COO / Transformation leadership

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and running the integration playbook, governance, and delivery model
  • Leading multiple concurrent integrations (Day 1 → full value realisation)
  • Owning the group-wide PMO across IT, ERP, operations, quality, and more
  • Driving post-acquisition value creation, not just “integration completion”
  • Building cross-group capability and commercial leverage
  • Acting as the connector across functions, sites, and leadership teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering post-merger integration at pace
  • Ideally experience building or shaping an IMO/PMO
  • Background in a regulated, complex environment (A&D, automotive, precision manufacturing, etc.)
  • Someone who can operate across boardroom to shop floor
  • Commercial instinct — you link integration to real value
  • Operating in a PE buy and build environment

The kind of person who’ll thrive here:

  • You’ve been doing this role already… just without the title or ownership
  • You bring rigour without bureaucracy
  • You know integration is as much about people and culture as it is about process
  • You want to build something meaningful — and share in its success

The client has set aside a strong package including significant equity upside. For more information please get in touch with your most recent CV.
