We are partnering with a dynamic AIM-listed group headquartered in the UK, generating c.£100m revenue and operating across both manufacturing and retail. With a portfolio of established design-led brands and ambitious expansion plans across the US and Middle East, the business is entering an exciting new phase of international growth driven by both organic and acquisitive strategies.

As part of this journey, we are seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to join the leadership team and shape a best-in-class finance function that can support scale, insight, and strategic decision-making.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of 25 and take ownership of all financial and management reporting activities across the Group. This is a high-impact role offering the chance to transform finance operations, enhance business partnering, and embed robust processes and controls within a well-established yet evolving international organisation.

You will play a critical role in driving financial performance, improving planning and forecasting capabilities, and supporting the executive team with clear, data-driven insights to underpin strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, and reporting
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across business units
  • Deliver high-quality management and board reporting with clear commercial insight
  • Own statutory reporting, annual report preparation, and audit process
  • Ensure strong internal controls, risk management, and global tax compliance
  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, design, and manufacturing teams to enhance decision-making
  • Support the CFO and executive team on long-term financial strategy and international expansion initiatives
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team with a focus on continuous improvement

About You

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified
  • Proven Finance Director or senior finance leadership experience within an AIM-listed environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP / IFRS)
  • Track record of leading financial and management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience overseeing audits, tax compliance, and internal control frameworks
  • Background in an international SME, ideally within retail or manufacturing, would be advantageous
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to influence and partner across non-finance functions
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for process improvement and building scalable finance operations
