Stantec’s Environmental Team is working closely with our water clients to develop innovative, sustainable, and efficient solutions to their needs by applying genuinely new ways of working. We are seeking driven individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join us in a growing, collaborative team of like‑minded consultants working to meet the unprecedented industry‑wide challenges of efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in the delivery of client and project environmental objectives and targets.
  • Assist the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIA screening and scoping, and environmental management studies and audits.
  • Advise clients on environmental and sustainability issues.
  • Analyse and present data using geographic information systems (GIS).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, or Environmental Planning accredited by a relevant professional body (CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI).
  • Chartered or seeking to apply in the next 6 months.
  • Client‑focused Environmental Advisor experience, providing robust advice on routes to consent, critical environmental risks and opportunities, EIA, and environmental management studies and audits.
  • Experience analysing and presenting data using a geographic information system (GIS).
  • General knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning, and water resources is beneficial.
