The Opportunity
Do you want to work on nationally significant projects, collaborate with a supportive and multidisciplinary team, and help shape sustainable development while protecting and enhancing the natural environment? Working alongside regional leadership, you'll play a key role in delivering ecological expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects, supporting clients from the earliest stages of planning through to project delivery. No two projects are the same, and your work will directly contribute to balancing development with nature while supporting the continued growth of our Ecology team.
About You
We're looking for experienced and passionate ecology professionals with a consultancy background.
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or a related discipline
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), with Chartered Ecologist status desirable for senior positions
- Experience delivering a wide range of ecological surveys, assessments and reporting
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy and environmental regulations
- Experience preparing Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and protected species reports
- The ability to manage projects, build strong client relationships and provide technical guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
