Your role: We are looking for a Graduate Water Networks Modeller to be based in Cardiff, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme. As a global leader in water infrastructure, Stantec is seeking a graduate to join the team and deliver innovative solutions to our clients on an exciting portfolio of projects that provide clean, safe water to our communities.
As a Network Modeller, you will:
- Develop Technical Expertise: You'll use hydraulic modelling to analyse water network performance and inform infrastructure planning. You will get hands-on experience in calibrating models and developing solutions to improve network efficiency.
- Work on Real-World Challenges: Your work will directly support senior engineers in solving critical issues, including pressure management, leakage reduction, and asset performance optimisation.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: You will gain experience working alongside other specialists. You will see how your modelling work integrates with digital services, asset management, and hydraulic analysis, giving you a holistic understanding of the water sector.
About you: At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with your bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Hydrology/Water Management, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Hydro-Informatics, with a keen interest in the water industry, we’d love to receive your application if you are a thinker, striver, planner, adapter, or multi-tasker.

Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that you receive sufficient time with your team and receive the appropriate level of support.
