Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for creating sustainable solutions? Join Stantec and help us tackle the urgent climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our communities! We are seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in the South of England. This role can be based at our offices in Brighton, Ashford, Kings Hill, or Southampton.
You will develop our reputation within the local community and Water Business by providing mechanical design services for various projects. This is a great opportunity to join an experienced team that offers support and career progression opportunities. You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and optioneering to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations.
You will liaise with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive project and community outcomes. You will also mentor and guide less experienced team members.
About You
You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Ideally, you will be Chartered (or on route to Chartership) or Incorporated, with experience in mechanical design. You will have experience producing technical outputs such as design specifications, sizing and designing pumping and aeration systems, schedules, reports, and be familiar with collaborative planning reviews and design solutions.
You will be capable of providing engineering input and design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. Experience in the Water sector is advantageous but not essential. We are also interested in candidates with experience in energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
