The Opportunity

Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Southampton office, where you will support the delivery of clean and wastewater infrastructure projects for local clients across the South East. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will sit within a local engineering team across our growing South Eastern offices and work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver work for our local clients. Key projects in the region include clean and wastewater treatment process upgrades across Southern Water’s operating area, alongside programmes that help local clients deliver improvements to make our rivers and seas cleaner. This role will give you exposure to engineering activities from feasibility through to construction, including the production of calculations, analysis and drawings, while developing practical knowledge of how civil engineering supports sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting engineering activities from feasibility through to construction, including the production of detailed calculations, analysis and drawings.
  • Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other industry software to present design solutions for clients.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals.
  • Providing technical input on civil engineering matters to support the wider project team.
  • Attending meetings and workshops with clients and colleagues from other disciplines.

This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities by supporting water and wastewater infrastructure projects that improve water quality, protect the environment and contribute to cleaner rivers and seas across the South East.
