Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer – Water Sector

The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for creating sustainable solutions? Join Stantec and help us tackle the urgent climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our communities. AMP8 is an exciting time for the water industry and for Stantec\’s role within it. With record levels of investment and our ongoing growth plans in the region, there is plenty of opportunity within our engineering teams.
You will be involved in the full project life cycle, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations. Leading mechanical design for infrastructure & non-infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations & more. Working closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to deliver positive project outcomes. Mentoring junior engineers.
About You
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject, ideally holding Chartered status or working toward. Previous experience of working in detailed design within the water industry; background working for/with delivery contractors beneficial. Opportunities to take on line management responsibilities, prior experience considered.
