Senior Civil Engineer – Infrastructure at Stantec

Stantec invites you to join our highly regarded, progressive, and award‑winning Civil & Structural team in Almondsbury, Bristol. We are driven by a commitment to sustainability and technical excellence, shaping construction in the UK and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a growing multi‑disciplinary consultancy across a range of projects.
- Design infrastructure for developments—drainage, highways, earthworks, and more.
- Undertake scheme development, preliminary and detailed design, and project coordination.
- Mentor and support emerging team members, ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables.
- Contribute to work‑winning activities, manage project finances, and prepare fee proposals.
- Communicate effectively, liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to deliver successful projects.
Qualifications
- BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC in civil engineering, with experience in a design office.
- Design experience covering the project lifecycle—from concept and planning to detailed design.
- Knowledge of Section 104, 278, 38 procedures and UK planning procedures.
- Strong analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, and experience with Civil 3D, PDS, Site3D, AutoTrack, MicroDrainage, FLOW, or InfoDrainage.
- Experience working with residential developers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated team player with strong people skills.
