Join Stantec as a Principal Structural Engineer in our rapidly growing Water sector. We look for experienced leaders who can design, deliver and oversee high-quality structural projects across multiple sectors.
The Opportunity
Stantec is expanding in the UK water industry and we want a Principal Structural Engineer to work from London, Reading or High Wycombe, with hybrid working between office and home. You will lead the delivery of structural engineering projects, partner with clients across the UK, and play a key role in exceeding their requirements through the technical delivery of projects. You will report directly to our Specialist Structural Engineering Technical Lead, develop our structural knowledge and capability, and support internal opportunities in sectors beyond water and energy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out structural engineering design for concrete, steel and masonry structures.
- Performing structural inspections and producing accurate reports defining maintenance and modification requirements.
About You
- Previous structural design experience.
- Knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering and awareness of other engineering disciplines to enable collaboration across Stantec.
- Knowledge of construction – temporary and permanent – and of the information requirements of construction teams as part of design & build projects.
- Broad range of structural and civil engineering experience, coaching and mentoring others, and leading technical capability development.
