Are you an organised, proactive, and relationship‑driven finance professional? We’re looking for a Credit Controller (Part time) to join our collaborative Finance team and play a key role in ensuring timely payment of invoices while delivering an exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
As part of our Credit Control team (12 people across Reading and Bristol), you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of client accounts. You’ll build strong relationships, resolve queries efficiently, and help maintain healthy cashflow across the business. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, communicating confidently, and working collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Proactively chasing clients for payment via phone and email
- Handling and resolving client queries promptly
- Setting up new client accounts following credit checks
- Building strong working relationships with internal teams
- Issuing monthly statements and chase letters
- Sending letter‑before‑action (LBA) notices when required
- Escalating non‑responsive accounts to your supervisor
- Participating in monthly credit meetings
- Supporting other duties as required by the business
About You
- Experience in credit control and a willingness to learn new systems
- Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- A collaborative team player
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in the office on a hybrid basis
