The Stantec Civil Infrastructure team in Oxford or Reading invites you to join a thriving group with a proven track record of delivering innovative projects across the South-East and beyond. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team; we offer hybrid and flexible working options to support work–life balance.
You will manage a team working on a diverse range of projects, contribute to significant developments across the region and beyond, lead and manage your own projects, and collaborate closely with our building, environmental, and transport colleagues to deliver holistic solutions. As an Associate Civil Engineer you will lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians, take responsibility for leading the technical delivery and approval of projects, and review the work produced by the team.
You will deliver high-quality design projects on time and within budget, work closely with clients to influence infrastructure schemes in the region, and have opportunities to progress and develop your career within Stantec.
About You
You will be an MEng/BEng qualified. You are a tactical thinker focused on achieving coordinated solutions and effective at communicating with internal and external parties (e.g., utility companies, drainage authorities, highway authorities). Ideally, you will have expertise in highway and drainage infrastructure design to deliver multi-disciplinary projects across their entire lifecycle—from concept and planning through to detailed design and delivery. You will have a proven record of delivering projects closely with clients across various technical disciplines and experience mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members. Skills with Civils 3D, InfoDrainage, and utility coordination are advantageous. Crucially, you will bring a passion and experience for delivering quality infrastructure design solutions and managing processes with regulators and local authorities.
