The Programme Management and Commercial Management (PMCM) team is looking for a Programme Manager to work with our clients in the water sector to deliver large‑scale capital investments. This role can be based from our offices in Reading, London or High Wycombe but travel to Reading will be required at least two days a week.
Responsibilities- Expertise in managing benefits, costs and commercial aspects of programmes, including ensuring financial efficiency and value, and managing projects and programmes from inception to completion for successful delivery.
- Understanding and reporting performance metrics with a sharp eye for detail, maintaining accuracy and quality in all deliverables, and continuously driving learning, innovation, process improvement and team capabilities.
- Leadership in collaborative improvement and change management, fostering a culture of coaching and innovation, enhancing team safety and promoting accountability for effective problem‑solving and performance management.
- Analysis through independent research and synthesis of information, developing strategies, resolving conflicts proactively, prioritising solutions that drive project success and stakeholder alignment.
- Risk management and proactive negotiation, assessing risks, providing recommendations, and facilitating effective stakeholder engagement to support informed decision‑making and empower team success.
- Relevant experience as a programme manager.
- Experience in the water sector preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- APM qualified or equivalent preferred.
