A principal structural engineer role leading delivery of high-quality structural projects across a range of sectors, partnering with clients across the UK and supporting internal opportunities beyond water and energy.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality structural engineering projects across a variety of sectors.
- Partner with clients across the UK and play a key role in exceeding their requirements through technical delivery.
- Report directly to the Specialist Structural Engineering Technical Lead, developing structural knowledge and capability.
- Carry out structural engineering design for concrete, steel and masonry structures.
- Conduct structural inspections and produce accurate reports defining requirements for asset maintenance and modification to meet client and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Previous structural design experience.
- Good knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering and awareness of other engineering disciplines.
- Good knowledge of construction, both temporary and permanent, and of the information requirements of construction teams in design & build projects.
- Experience coaching and mentoring others.
- Leadership in developing technical capability.
