The Opportunity

This is your chance to be at the heart of it all. We are looking for Principal Civil Design Engineers with experience in the Energy/Power sector to join us in our offices across the UK. Projects include Energy from Waste, Solar, Interconnectors, Windfarms, Substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, connections schemes, and more. You will join a growing, collaborative team, developing innovative and sustainable solutions with a variety of clients across the country.
You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams supporting the FEED design and detailed civil design for energy projects. Day to day you will provide technical solutions, develop detailed designs, and support Project Managers and Team Leaders. Responsibilities
- Support FEED design and detailed civil design for energy projects
- Develop technical solutions and detailed designs for civil aspects
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver sustainable solutions
- Assist Project Managers and Team Leaders in project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s/Master\’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution
- On route to professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council; ICE is preferred
- Pro-active with knowledge of the Energy Sector; engaged with the engineering community
- Knowledge of National Grid\’s Transmission procedures is desirable; other energy sector experience is highly regarded
