This is an opportunity to become part of a close‑knit, collaborative team where everyone’s voice is valued, and ideas are actively encouraged. You’ll be joining a group that works collectively to solve complex challenges, supporting each other while delivering high‑quality work across a diverse project portfolio.
From major developments to smaller, technically challenging schemes, you’ll play a key role in shaping projects that make a real impact locally and regionally.
ABOUT THE ROLEYou’ll take a leading role in the design, implementation and management of geo‑environmental projects, working across a wide variety of sectors. Our recent work includes projects such as The Wave, major logistics developments, data centres, schools, HMP Fosse Way, and a range of residential schemes, giving you exposure to both large‑scale and technically complex sites.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver and manage geo‑environmental assessments including desk studies and ground investigations
- Produce and review factual and interpretative reports
- Undertake human health, groundwater and ground gas risk assessments
- Prepare Remediation Method Statements
- Support project management, including client liaison and financial oversight
- Contribute to fee proposals and business development
- Mentor and support junior team members
You’ll also be responsible for preparing and checking detailed risk assessments, including:
- CLEA‑based human health risk assessments
- BS8485‑compliant ground gas assessments
- RTM‑compliant controlled waters risk assessments
You’ll play a key role in delivering technically robust, practical solutions to complex environmental challenges. Beyond project delivery, your influence will be felt in the development of the wider team, mentoring junior colleagues, shaping technical standards, and contributing to the continued growth of the business. Your work will help ensure projects are not only compliant, but sustainable, safe, and fit for the future.
ABOUT YOUYou’re an experienced environmental consultant with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. You’ll bring:
- A BSc (or higher) in a relevant subject such as environmental science, geology or engineering
- Chartered status (or working towards) as an Environmentalist, Geologist or Engineer
- Strong experience in ground investigation, interpretation and reporting
- Proven ability to produce clear, concise, and technically robust reports
- Experience reviewing others’ work and ensuring compliance with guidance and client requirements
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment
Ideally, you will also hold (or be working towards) professional accreditations such as RSoBRA or ASoBRA in areas like Human Health Risk Assessment, Ground Gas, or Controlled Waters. Just as importantly, you’ll align with our team ethos, collaborative, proactive, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
Great BenefitsCompetitive salary, bonus schemes, enhanced pension plan, annual leave with the option to buy/sell additional days, private medical insurance, group income protection.
