We have an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing MEP (Building Services) team based in our Plymouth office.

We work across all major sectors, from commercial and residential to heritage and industrial delivering intelligent design that enhances the built environment and supports our clients’ net-zero ambitions. Our Plymouth office offers a dynamic base for delivering transformative projects across the UK and beyond. From this location, we’ve played a pivotal role in some of the UK’s most forward-thinking infrastructure and development projects. Some of our notable achievements include work on large-scale energy transmission projects, such as housing complex conversion equipment for new high-voltage direct current converter stations to transmit emission-free electricity. We also led the refurbishment and new-build extension of the Civic Centre in Trowbridge, modernizing the space while preserving its historical significance. Similarly, the Atlantic Village extension in Bideford showcases our ability to deliver large-scale retail and mixed-use developments, increasing the shopping centre’s size by 70 percent.
The Opportunity: You’ll be joining a highly motivated and collaborative team of engineers who are passionate about delivering sustainable, innovative solutions and who genuinely enjoy what they do. You will lead the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects. You will oversee the production of high-quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules. You will support the commercial success of your projects through timely invoicing, WIP management, and workload/resource planning. You will mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and play a key role in their career development.
About You: You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for delivering sustainable solutions for your clients and will have the following: Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the UK, ideally with a track record of delivering both electrical and mechanical design.
