We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing MEP (Building Services) team based in our Plymouth office.
About The Business: It’s a fantastic time to become part of Stantec’s MEP division. Our engineers are experts in creating high-performing, sustainable environments. We work across all major sectors, from commercial and residential to heritage and industrial, delivering intelligent design that enhances the built environment and supports our clients’ net-zero ambitions. Our Plymouth office offers a dynamic base for delivering transformative projects across the UK and beyond. From this location, we’ve played a pivotal role in some of the UK’s most forward-thinking infrastructure and development projects. Some of our notable achievements include work on large-scale energy transmission projects, such as housing complex conversion equipment for new high-voltage direct current converter stations to transmit emission-free electricity. We also led the refurbishment and new-build extension of the Civic Centre in Trowbridge, modernizing the space while preserving its historical significance. Similarly, the Atlantic Village extension in Bideford showcases our ability to deliver large-scale retail and mixed-use developments, increasing the shopping centre’s size by 70 percent.
The Opportunity: You’ll be joining a highly motivated and collaborative team of engineers who are passionate about delivering sustainable, innovative solutions and who genuinely enjoy what they do. You will lead the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi-disciplinary building projects. You will oversee the production of high-quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules. You will support the commercial success of your projects through timely invoicing, WIP management, and workload/resource planning. You will mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and play a key role in their career development.
About You: You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for delivering sustainable solutions for your clients and will have the following: Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the UK, ideally with a track record of delivering both electrical and M.
