With record levels of investment and our ongoing growth plans in the North East, there is plenty of opportunity within our engineering teams.
In order to continue supporting our important work for Northumbrian Water, we are now seeking a Senior to Principal grade Mechanical Engineer to join us in Newcastle. You will be involved in the full project life cycle, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations. This will mean leading mechanical design for infrastructure & non-infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations & more.
You will work closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to deliver positive project outcomes. You will also be involved in the mentorship and guidance of more junior engineers within the team.
About You
You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject, ideally holding Chartered status or working toward. You will have previous experience of working in detailed design within the water industry, and a background working for/with delivery contractors would also be beneficial. For the right candidate, there will also be opportunities to take on line management responsibilities and so previous experience of this would be considered.
