Are you looking for a role where you can explore new ways of working with geospatial and digital technologies? You will work alongside an award-winning team of experts who are driving innovation across Stantec and our UK Water clients. We have a new opportunity for a Senior Geospatial Consultant within our Water Sector team. The role is based in our Newcastle office, with hybrid working allowing for a combination of in-office and home working (3-days per week in the office). Our Newcastle office is located on the Quayside, a short distance from Newcastle train station and other public transport links.
As a Senior Geospatial Consultant, you will be a senior presence in a local team of geospatial analysts, looking to develop and apply our range of digital offerings to our clients and project caseload — whether this be data visualisation, multi-criteria analysis, automation and efficiency, or best practice data management. You will be working in a consultancy setting, understanding the needs of our UK Water clients, and challenging our teams to innovate and provide data driven approaches to our projects. In the role of Senior Geospatial Consultant, you will be a proactive and driven individual, looking to develop our service offerings and mentor your early career colleagues.
Responsibilities- Apply geospatial and data processing techniques to deliver client-focused outcomes across the Water sector.
- Develop and apply digital offerings such as data visualisation, multi-criteria analysis, automation, and data management best practices.
- Work in a consultancy setting to understand client needs and challenge teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Mentor and support early career colleagues within the local geospatial team.
- Enthusiasm and experience in technical project delivery.
- A grasp of information and data management and quality concepts and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication, and confidence with external and internal stakeholders.
- Depth of technical experience in ESRI products and good awareness of wider software and programming approaches; FME experience is essential for this role.
- A curious mindset and willingness to challenge conventional project delivery and foster new ideas.
- Active participation in local team culture and identity.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Geospatial discipline, supported by a national team of experts and supported in the drive to innovate across our internal teams and our client offerings.
