Stantec’s continued success in delivering for the UK’s leading utility providers and major infrastructure developers has created an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our growing Major Projects Delivery team. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to make a real impact on the community by delivering critical environmental and infrastructure improvements.
About the Role
As a Project Planner, you will be instrumental in all project phases—from pre‑construction and design to final delivery. You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will work across the region on programmes such as Yorkshire Water’s Storm Overflow Alliance, United Utilities’ Design Development Partnership, and Northumbrian Water’s Strategic Technical Partnership. The role can be based from any of our offices in Leeds, Manchester, Warrington, Newcastle, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.
About You
- You will be highly skilled in managing complex projects and programmes using Primavera P6 and have the ability to lead programmes autonomously, providing value through consulting.
- You will be happy working collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders and have the capability to share your knowledge and mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Experience managing change within D&C in P6 in accordance with the contract and client requirements.
- Solid understanding of D&C sequencing and interfaces.
- Familiarity with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts.
- Previous experience in the water sector is beneficial but not essential.
