The UK energy sector is undergoing a seismic shift, driven by increasing demand, evolving regulations, and ambitious net-zero targets. This transformation is unlocking new opportunities to deliver innovative, sustainable infrastructure that will shape the future of energy.

We are looking to connect with experienced Electrical Engineers across a range of seniority levels—from experienced and Chartered Engineers through to Senior, Principal, and Senior Principal levels—to join our growing Energy team across the UK. This is your opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects and play a meaningful role in supporting the UK's energy transition.

About the Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of complex projects across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, including energy from waste, solar, wind farms, interconnectors, substations, overhead lines, LVAC systems, pump stations, and broader infrastructure schemes. In more senior roles, you will take ownership of electrical design delivery, leading on systems such as generators, control and instrumentation, protection systems, substations, and transmission infrastructure.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with civil, mechanical, and other engineering teams to develop integrated and effective design solutions.

Your Impact

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering electrical engineering solutions that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of energy infrastructure. Your work will directly contribute to projects that are critical to meeting the UK's growing energy needs while supporting the transition to lower-carbon systems. By applying your technical expertise across all stages of project delivery, you will help ensure solutions are innovative, compliant, and fit for purpose. Your involvement in design, modelling, and analysis will support robust decision-making and high-quality engineering outcomes. Through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you will help drive integrated design approaches that improve efficiency and reduce risk. In more senior positions, your leadership and mentorship will help develop team capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Ultimately, your contribution will support the delivery of sustainable infrastructure, helping clients navigate industry challenges and achieve long-term environmental and operational goals.

  • Familiarity with UK standards, regulations, and design practices
  • Confidence in presenting technical information and participating in design reviews and technical workshops
