At Stantec, a leading global design and delivery partner, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Coordinator to join our team across the UK. This is a permanent role that offers a blend of home and office working, enabling a healthy work‑life balance and strong team collaboration.
The Opportunity
This senior role will support the planning and delivery of large‑scale energy and infrastructure projects, including carbon capture and storage, renewable energy, hydrogen and transmission & distribution. As a Senior / Senior Associate, you will:
- Lead EIA screening, scoping and full Environmental Statements, reviewing technical input and producing Environmental and Planning Reports.
- Manage multi‑disciplinary teams, overseeing the development lifecycle from concept to delivery.
- Support bid proposals, financial management of project work, and mentor junior team members.
- Work with senior stakeholders, building client relationships and contributing to the growth of the team.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has strong environmental planning experience (EIA) in the energy sector, chartered or working towards chartership.
- Understands consenting regimes, planning legislation and development management procedures (Town and Country Planning & the Planning Act, Hybrid Bill, etc.).
- Has experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams, a track record of project financial management and excellent communication skills.
- Can manage and mentor those around you, demonstrating flexibility to meet the demands of the role.
