Opportunity
Stantec is looking for a Graduate Transport Planner for our Infrastructure team in Reading, joined to our 2026 Graduate Programme. Recruitment is ongoing; please apply soon as the advert may close once sufficient applicants are received.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and cohort, developing transport planning expertise within an interdisciplinary environment. You will be involved in local and national projects, gaining client exposure and professional development.
Work will be diverse: cycle routes design, traffic impact assessment, active travel promotion, transport strategies for new towns. Projects include preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, designing sustainable transport and road safety schemes, using transport modelling software, conducting research, liaising with suppliers, and preparing reports, presentations, bids, and proposals. You will also join clients, councils, and other professionals in meetings and workshops.
The Reading team focuses on the Thames Valley and South Coast; major initiatives include the A326 Corridor study, Green Park business park development, SEGRO estate redevelopment, Huntley Wharf, Station Hill, the Agratas giga battery plant, and the Environment Agency\'s River Thames Relief scheme.
About You
We value potential over past experience. Applicants must hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Planning or Engineering, and show keen interest in the Infrastructure sector.
