Stantec is looking for an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Coordinator at a senior level or senior associate to join our energy and infrastructure teams in the UK. The role is permanent and offers a mix of home and office working to support a healthy work‑life balance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing EIA screening, scoping and outcome processes for a broad range of energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing Environmental Statements and other environmental and planning‑related reports, reviewing technical input, and ensuring compliance with relevant consenting regimes.
  • Leading environmental teams, overseeing the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments and advising clients throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to multi‑disciplinary proposals and the financial management of project work.

About the Candidate:

  • Strong environmental planning (EIA) experience, preferably in the energy sector, and a chartered or working toward chartership.
  • Broad understanding of environmental issues, planning regimes (Town and Country Planning, Planning Act, Hybrid Bill, etc.) and development management procedures.
  • Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams, with a track record of financial project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor and develop others.
  • Desirable: DCO experience and a flexible, solution‑focused approach.
