The Opportunity Stantec’s Environmental Team is working closely with our water clients to develop innovative, sustainable, and efficient solutions to their needs by applying genuinely new ways of working. We are seeking driven individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join us in a growing, collaborative team of like-minded consultants working to meet the unprecedented industry-wide challenges of efficiency and environmental sustainability. We are currently seeking a Senior or Principal Environmental Advisor/Scientist and are open to applicants from all UK office locations. We will consider part-time work for the right candidate. This role offers significant and sustained ongoing growth, presenting a great opportunity for career progression.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist in the delivery of client and project environmental objectives and targets.
- Assist the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIA screening and scoping, environmental management studies, and audits.
- Advise clients on environmental and sustainability issues.
- Analyse and present data using a geographic information system (GIS).
About You
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, or Environmental Planning accredited by CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI.
- Be Chartered or planning to apply within the next 6 months.
- Demonstrate capability as a client-focused Environmental Advisor, with experience providing robust advice on routes to consent, critical environmental risks and opportunities, and environmental management studies and audits.
- Have experience analysing and presenting data using GIS.
- Have general knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning, and water resources – a benefit.
