Senior Principal Civil Engineer (Water) – Stantec

The Opportunity

Our Water division’s growth strategy for 2025 and beyond focuses on partnering with leading water clients across the UK. In this role you will help develop innovative approaches to obtain, clean, and distribute water, contributing to projects of national significance while working with a talented, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of solutions from initial need assessment to detailed design, supporting and managing project team members.
• Undertake scoping and design within agreed timescales and budgets, and produce and review technical reports.
• Collaborate on UK‑wide projects, including some of the largest and most iconic water infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered status and membership in a relevant engineering institution preferred.
• Previous experience in the water industry; knowledge of Process and MEICA disciplines advantageous.
• Understanding of environmental issues, including net carbon, beneficial but not essential.
