Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer – MEP (Building Services) – Plymouth
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing MEP (Building Services) team in the Southwest.
The role involves leading multidisciplinary engineering projects from start to finish, engaging with clients, and overseeing project deliverables, resourcing, programme, and budget to deliver high‑quality outputs.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer in the UK, ideally delivering both electrical and M&E solutions across varied building sectors.
- Developing and mentoring junior engineers, including supporting chartership routes.
- Contributing to innovation, process improvement, and technical excellence initiatives.
- Assisting with aspects of team management, supporting our MEP lead in activities such as resource planning, line management, and quality assurance.
- A collaborative mindset and experience working closely with architects and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelor's, or Master's).
- A proven background in Building Services design.
- A track record working across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, residential and/or industrial.
- Familiarity with BIM processes and tools, including Revit.
