Join Stantec’s Rivers & Coastal Management team in the UK to design and manage river and coastal projects, including nature‑based solutions, flood risk schemes, river engineering and lowland drainage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare designs, specifications and reports for flood risk management schemes, river and coastal engineering.
- Communicate design information throughout the project cycle from concept to construction.
- Manage NEC contracts (experience desirable).
- Delegate to team members and ensure high quality design information through QA checks.
- Coordinate with the Environment Agency, Natural England, Marine Management Organisation and other stakeholders to obtain necessary consents.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary Stantec teams across all project stages.
- Support projects during construction, addressing technical queries and inspecting to monitor quality.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
Qualifications
- Relevant industry degree.
- Chartered professional status, or close to application.
- Previous responsible experience in design roles.
- Experience working with other disciplines on design and specification.
- Experience supervising and monitoring construction works with contractors.
- AutoCAD skills are an advantage.
