Are you an ambitious engineering leader with a proven track record of delivering complex projects? We\’re seeking experienced Senior Design Managers to join our expanding teams, working on major infrastructure & non-infrastructure projects across the South of England. This is your chance to:

Role and responsibilities

Our Design Managers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. We work in a variety of project areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding, and urban drainage. Our teams are working with a number of clients across the UK, with regional appointments including South West Water\’s Engineering Consultancy Framework, Welsh Water\’s Engineering Consultancy Framework, Thames Water\’s Capital & Engineering Framework and many others!

As Senior Design Manager, you will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client, plan technical delivery, and lead the multidisciplinary team throughout the project. You will work alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence and have access to Stantec\’s world-class expertise to help you deliver leading edge design.

Candidate profile / Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions. You will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) Engineer and ideally chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g. ICE). Support can be given to achieve this if required. You will also have experience of leading multidisciplinary teams within the engineering or utilities sectors, delivering expert design solutions to clientele.
