The UK&I energy sector is undergoing a seismic shift. Surging demand, stricter regulations, and ambitious net-zero goals are driving groundbreaking innovation. We are interested in speaking with experienced Design Managers with experience in the Energy/Power sector for future opportunities due to our continued growth. This is an opportunity for you to play an important part in the U.K. energy transition and make a real difference.
You will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, etc. As a Design Manager, you will partner with clients across the UK&I to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that address industry-wide challenges in efficiency and environmental impact. You will oversee the FEED and detailed design processes for the civil aspects of substation projects, including refurbishments, extensions, and new builds. You will foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where your team can thrive as well as contributing to the continued growth and success of Stantec's Energy sector teams.
About You
- You will ideally be qualified with a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Engineering (or related field).
- You will have strong experience in the energy sector with a background in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or a related field.
- You will be a pro-active individual with knowledge and experience of the energy industry.
- You will have the capability to coach and mentor juniors in the team and cross collaborate across the business.
- You will be engaged in the engineering community and understand how we can drive success for our clients, including understanding innovative solutions and industry best practices.
- You will have proven experience in the design management of energy projects from concept to completion and have an in-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Your passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment will be critical to your success.
