Stantec has an exciting opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our Building Performance team in Reading or London.

We are seeking an Energy & Sustainability Consultant / Senior Consultant to support energy modeling and develop sustainability strategies, helping clients make informed decisions about their buildings and energy systems. This role offers variety, challenge, and growth opportunities within a reputable organization with a strong workload pipeline.
Our projects span public and private sectors, including significant developments, educational buildings, commercial and industrial properties, and regeneration projects. We also assist clients in reducing scope 3 carbon emissions.

About You
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in physics, geography, chemistry, or engineering (building services or mechanical). An MSc in Sustainability or Environmental Management is advantageous but not essential. You should be able to translate technical concepts into practical solutions, and be enthusiastic about research, self-learning, and data-driven approaches.
Strong communication skills, especially in report writing and presentations, are essential. Experience with software such as IESVE (including ApacheHVAC and overheating analysis), SAP/SBEM, and OneClick LCA is required. Familiarity with CFD, hydraulic and energy network modeling, microgrid analysis, renewable energy modeling, Python, PowerBI, or Tableau is beneficial. Knowledge of SBTi, UK building regulations, and sustainability frameworks like BREEAM or NABERS UK is also important.
