About the Role
Commercial Manager responsible for ensuring profitable and sustainable business within the Buildings Group across London and Birmingham offices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guide and support the Project Management community within the Buildings Group.
- Work with the Leadership Team to develop, implement and refine regional commercial strategies.
- Oversee and report on performance of each region, ensuring budgets are met and financial outcomes achieved.
- Identify and resolve project delivery challenges, mitigating risks and resolving issues.
- Review project portfolios and internal reporting and escalation.
- Develop competitive commercial proposals for bids and significant projects.
- Use Stantec’s project reporting cycle and revenue recognition systems, training and supporting staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads to review performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a relevant field.
- Strong commercial acumen and business analysis skills.
- Experience in the Buildings or Construction sector, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Knowledge of SOX controls and financial reporting audits desirable.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and reports.
- Self‑motivation and initiative to work effectively with all levels of the business and external partners.
