About You
This is an expression of interest – we are open to speaking to Mechanical Engineers at all stages of their careers.
You will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations.
You will liaise with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community.
More senior Engineers will manage and guide junior team members and support their development.
Key Requirements
- Experienced Mechanical Engineer, ideally Chartered, with experience in mechanical design within the water industry
- Proficient in producing and reviewing technical outputs such as specifications, pump and aeration system sizing and design, schedules, reports, and familiar with collaborative planning reviews and solution design
- Ability to provide engineering input to design outputs in collaboration with other disciplines, including General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
- Strong communication skills, capable of delivering technical presentations to clients and colleagues, and participating in technical workshops, safety reviews including HAZOPs and ALMs
- Provide technical leadership to the Mechanical design team and support junior engineers\’ development
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and experience assessing existing site infrastructure for mechanical design development
