As a Stantec Graduate Transport Planner, you'll develop your transport planning expertise within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Working alongside experienced professionals and fellow graduates, you'll contribute to a wide range of projects while gaining exposure to planning, civil engineering and project management disciplines.

Joining our growing Transport team, you'll support the delivery of projects for a diverse portfolio of clients across the South West of England and throughout the UK. You'll have the opportunity to work on a broad range of exciting projects, from major new settlements and industrial sites through to community-focused developments and environmental schemes, supporting projects from concept and planning through to delivery. On a day-to-day basis, you'll support the delivery of transport planning projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will:

  • Assist with the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
  • Support the development of transport strategies for a range of development projects.
  • Analyse transport and traffic data to inform planning and design decisions.
  • Contribute to technical reports, presentations and client deliverables.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, local authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Support project delivery across a variety of schemes, from community developments to major new settlements and enterprise zones.

This role offers excellent exposure to all aspects of transport planning, helping you build the technical, analytical and communication skills needed for a successful career in the industry.

This role will help deliver sustainable, resilient infrastructure and community developments that create lasting benefits for people, places and the environment. Working across a range of projects, you will support the planning, design and delivery of infrastructure solutions that enhance communities, promote sustainable growth and improve quality of life.

Your work will contribute to addressing key challenges such as climate resilience, resource efficiency and environmental stewardship, helping clients deliver innovative, future-ready solutions that meet the needs of both local communities and wider society.
