Associate Architect to join our growing National Architecture team in our brand-new central

Bristol office.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable and people-focused design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK, with opportunities to contribute to international commissions.

About The Role

As an Associate Architect, you'll provide both technical and design leadership across a varied portfolio of multidisciplinary projects.

You'll work closely with clients, lead project teams, manage and mentor colleagues and help drive the continued growth of our Architecture business in the Southwest and beyond.

  • Lead architectural design and project delivery at all RIBA stages.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams across commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, landscape architects and environmental specialists to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout project lifecycles.
  • Support work-winning activities including bids, presentations and client engagement.
  • Oversee project management including managing programmes, quality, commercial performance, resourcing and technical excellence.
  • Mentor, manage and develop junior architects and architectural assistants, helping to build a high-performing team.
  • Champion sustainable, innovative and digitally enabled design approaches.
  • Contribute to projects across the UK, with opportunities to support international work where appropriate.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management primarily across the South West but also Nationally through active participation in industry events and networking.

About You

You’ll be a collaborative and commercially minded Architect who enjoys working across disciplines and building lasting client relationships.

You're passionate about great design, motivated by solving complex challenges and excited by the opportunity to influence projects from an early stage.

  • You’ll Ideally Have
  • ARB registered Architect with substantial post-qualification experience.
  • Experience operating at Associate level or as a Senior Architect ready to progress.
  • Strong experience delivering commercial, residential and mixed-use projects through all RIBA work stages.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
  • Experience managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM and digital workflows.
  • A passion for sustainable design and delivering innovative architectural solutions.
  • The ability to mentor and develop others while fostering a collaborative team culture.
