Assistant Civil Engineer

Overview
We are looking for a Civil Engineering Graduate to support the design, coordination and delivery of land development projects focused on sustainable drainage, highways design and active travel. Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK indefinitely.
Typical Projects
- Strategic residential schemes (1,000+ units)
- Town and city centre regeneration
- Detailed design for small residential parcels
- Commercial sector projects such as waste recycling and logistics centres
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Written and verbal communication, with evidence of report writing
- Teamwork and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Strong interest in civil engineering and land development
- Drive to develop career
Valued Experience
- Literacy in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Appreciation of hydrology/hydraulics
- Work experience in land development / construction / civil engineering
- Educational background in civil engineering (MEng preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior team members in preparing drainage strategies, calculations and flood risk assessment reports for planning
- Prepare plans and drawings at all stages of the development cycle
- Support design of earthworks, highways and drainage
- Liaise with local authorities, clients, third parties and other disciplines
- Attend site visits occasionally
- Receive mentoring and support professional development towards accreditation
