The Opportunity

Join our 2027 (Autumn) Graduate Programme as a Graduate Stakeholder Engagement Consultant in our Taunton office, where you'll be part of a market-leading Community Development discipline.

As a Stantec Graduate Stakeholder Engagement Consultant, you'll work closely with your team and fellow graduates, building your stakeholder engagement and communication skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Supported by experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that make a positive impact on communities, helping to develop and deliver effective engagement strategies while gaining exposure to a diverse range of clients, projects and sectors.

About the Role

No two days are the same in our Stakeholder Engagement team. Based in our welcoming Taunton office, you'll gain experience across stakeholder and community engagement, consultation delivery, and social research, supporting projects from planning through to delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

  • Coordinating meetings with technical specialists and external stakeholders.
  • Tracking project actions and supporting teams to deliver key outputs.
  • Assisting with reporting, digital engagement platforms, and social media research.
  • Supporting the production of consultation materials, event content, and communications alongside our graphics team.
  • Organising and attending both in-person and virtual engagement events.
  • Analysing qualitative and quantitative data to inform project recommendations.
  • Contributing to newsletters, marketing content, and stakeholder communications.
  • Managing and developing digital engagement platforms such as Commonplace.

Your work will contribute to addressing key challenges such as climate resilience, resource efficiency and environmental stewardship, helping clients deliver innovative, future-ready solutions that meet the needs of both local communities and wider society.

About you

At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Geography, Journalism, Economics (or equivalent), and a keen interest in Stakeholder Engagement, you will be:
