At Stantec, we are excited about our ongoing growth, following a number of successful frameworks bids across the water industry. We are expanding our amazing engineering teams across the country. In the Northwest, we have been appointed to United Utilities’ £269 million Design Development Partners Framework for AMP 8 and selected on Yorkshire Water’s Storm Overflow Alliance to deliver their AMP8 capital investment programme.
As part of these frameworks, we will deliver solutions from concept, through outline design and on to detailed design for projects to reduce spills from Combined Sewer Overflows. We continue to support our clients across a large range of projects in their Clean/Waste Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure programmes. These partnerships afford us the opportunity to continue delivering cutting edge designs which can meet the complex challenges facing the water industry.
In order to continue providing our clients with our expert service, we are looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer into either our Manchester city centre or Warrington (Birchwood) teams. You will become part of a UK wide team, redefining our landscape with sustainability, the environment and the communities we serve at the heart of everything we do.
Your Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll contribute across the full project lifecycle—from asset planning and strategy to concept, outline, and detailed design. You’ll be responsible for developing civil engineering designs, working closely with our Principal Engineers and Design Leads. You’ll also support and mentor junior engineers, helping to build a strong, collaborative team. You will have access to Stantec’s world-class expertise to help you deliver innovative solutions utilising advanced technologies.
About You
We are interested in speaking with passionate engineers with design and/or civils construction experience in the water industry. We will support your growth and development through training and project exposure, though prior experience within wastewater networks, surface water management and sewage treatment would be beneficial.
- A degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure or treatment design, however relevant transferable experience will be considered.
- Ideally you will hold Incorporated or Chartered status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM, though we’re happy to support your journey toward professional accreditation if needed.
Most importantly, you’ll share our commitment to client focus, service excellence, and making a positive impact.
Why Join Us
This is an exciting time to join Stantec, with the opportunity to tackle challenging new projects across the region and growth plans extending throughout the AMP8 cycle. In addition, all employees have access to our company wide benefits, including:
