We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join our award-winning Civil Infrastructure team in London. Based in our London office, you’ll become part of a busy, dynamic team with a proven track record of delivering innovative infrastructure projects across London, the South East, and beyond.

You’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of high-profile developments including Lewisham Gateway, Elephant Park, Agar Grove Estate in Camden, South Thamesmead, Old Oak Common, and Battersea Power Station, alongside projects in locations such as the Isle of Wight, Jersey, Birmingham, Malta, and Gozo.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction. Working collaboratively with clients, local authorities, regulators, utility providers, and multidisciplinary project teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping infrastructure solutions that deliver lasting benefits for communities.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards, on time and within budget, while supporting the growth and development of junior team members.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead the technical delivery, design approval, and successful execution of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Influence the development of infrastructure schemes through close collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Deliver innovative highway and drainage infrastructure solutions from concept through detailed design and construction.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, helping to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of our Civil Infrastructure team and wider business.

ABOUT YOU

  • MEng or BEng qualified and Chartered Engineer status.
  • Significant experience in highway and drainage infrastructure design.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
  • Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary solutions and engaging with clients, regulators, utility companies, and local authorities.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage, with utility coordination experience considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior staff and effectively managing project delivery and workflows.
