We’re looking for an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our established London team and play a leading role in our continued growth. This is a great opportunity to guide a talented group of engineers and specialists and shape strategy across a wide range of development and infrastructure projects. You will win new work and lead project delivery from early concept through to completion, build strong client relationships, and mentor junior colleagues. You’ll work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to produce high-quality design outputs, develop solutions and manage delivery to our private and public sector clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow an established and reputable business, leading a diverse portfolio of civil engineering across the region and to be involved in projects nationwide. Locally our multi-disciplinary infrastructure team in London has a long history of delivering development planning projects to a diverse range of clients, including strategic land sites, as well as delivering to public sector clients. Our team have a wealth of experience and will offer support development opportunities and excellent advice. Working collaboratively amongst multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver a wide variety of project work and practice with a broad range of clients.

About The Role: An Associate is a technical and delivery leader, responsible for leading projects of a variety of scales and complexities or being discipline lead on large multi-disciplinary/multi-business line projects, managing key client relationships, and supporting in business growth and team development. As an Associate you will work across a wide range of projects from large and complex strategic land development proposals through to smaller sites, alongside strategic infrastructure and public sector commissions. You will work across residential, strategic land, commercial and urban regeneration projects. You will communicate and work collaboratively with project teams to provide high-quality deliverables to Stantec’s clients and ensure that all documentation adheres to client and company standards and expectations. You will also work with the leadership team to support business development - work winning will be a core part of this role.

    • Provide line management, mentoring and support to team members

  • Project & Technical Leadership
    • Lead projects or provides technical input to multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to delivery
    • Ensure delivery to programme, budget and quality standards
    • Support commercial management and project reporting
    • Act as Project Manager, Technical Lead or discipline lead as required
  • Clients & Market Presence
    • Build strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
    • Support Directors in managing key client accounts
    • Represent Stantec in meetings and project discussions
  • Business Development & Growth
    • Support work winning and opportunity identification
    • Contribute to client engagement and repeat work generation
    • Contribute to bids and pursuits
    • Develop fee budgets for proposals
  • Technical & Industry Leadership
    • Act as a subject matter expert within discipline
    • Ensure high-quality technical outputs across projects
    • Support innovation, best practice and knowledge sharing
